Our Volunteer Coaches make youth sports at the Y possible! Itty Bitty and Youth Sports activities are designed to introduce basic skills and concepts such as teamwork, hand-eye coordination, listening and social skills, and sportsmanship to participants ages 4-8 years old. September 9th through October 2nd Every Monday & Wednesday 4-5yrs 4pm-4:45pm 6-8yrs 5pm-5:45pm
Youth Sports Coaches design and teach basic sports strategies to an assigned group of children. They also preside over all team activities and teach valuable sporting skills such as teamwork, fair play, and sportsmanship.

For the safety of all, volunteers are asked to authorize and/or complete a few important checks and a brief training program prior to starting in your new role with us. Each volunteer is asked to provide three (3) references, authorize a background check (at the Y’s expense) and complete an online training class on the importance of child abuse prevention. This onboarding process has been streamlined for your ease. As soon as this process is complete, we will reach out to welcome you as a Y volunteer and to determine a convenient date for the start of your valued volunteering at the YMCA.
