Extreme Teens is an exciting, dynamic program designed to engage teens in positive activities that promote leadership, personal growth, and community involvement. Volunteers in this program play a crucial role in mentoring and supporting teens as they navigate challenges, build confidence, and develop life skills.

🎯 Project Goals – Extreme Teens Volunteer Program 1. Empower Teens Through Leadership Development Provide teens with opportunities to build confidence, decision-making, and leadership skills in a supportive environment. 2. Foster Positive Youth Engagement Encourage healthy social connections and active participation through group activities, workshops, and community events. 3. Promote Personal Growth and Life Skills Help teens develop communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills essential for success in school, work, and life. 4. Create a Safe and Inclusive Space Ensure all teens feel welcomed, respected, and supported regardless of background or ability. 5. Encourage Community Involvement Inspire teens to give back through service projects that build a sense of responsibility and connection to their community. 6. Support Volunteer Growth Equip volunteers with training and resources to effectively mentor teens and foster positive youth development.

🛡️ Safety Guidelines – Extreme Teens Volunteer Program 1. Create a Safe Environment for Teens Foster a respectful, inclusive atmosphere free from bullying, discrimination, or harassment. Monitor group activities to ensure physical and emotional safety. 2. Adhere to YMCA Child Protection Policies Complete mandatory background checks and child safety training before volunteering. Follow the “Rule of Three” to avoid being alone with a single teen. Report any concerns or incidents promptly to program leadership. 3. Emergency Preparedness Know and follow YMCA emergency procedures, including evacuation plans and medical protocols. Maintain access to first aid kits and have contact information for emergency services readily available. 4. Respect Privacy and Confidentiality Handle sensitive information about teens responsibly and in accordance with YMCA guidelines. 5. Promote Health and Wellness Encourage teens to communicate health concerns and follow any medical or dietary guidelines provided by parents/guardians. Support COVID-19 or other health safety protocols as directed by YMCA policies.

❌ Cancellation Policy – Extreme Teens Volunteer Program Volunteer Cancellation: 1. Volunteers should notify the Youth Programs Coordinator at least 24 hours in advance if they are unable to attend a scheduled session or event. 2. If a volunteer cannot fulfill a commitment, they should try to find a suitable replacement or inform the YMCA as soon as possible. 3. Repeated or last-minute cancellations may result in reassignment or removal from the volunteer role to ensure program continuity.
