Wenatchee Valley YMCA
Mentor Youth in Our Valley and Make a Difference! By becoming a Ment2Be mentor, you can transform the lives of young people in our community. Your time and guidance can help them with social, emotional, and academic challenges. Your support will ensure that they have someone who cares and show them that every one of them matters. Join us in making a positive impact.
Mentors commit to supporting, guiding, and being a role model to their Mentee for a period of at least one full school year (meeting 2-4 times a month). By becoming a part of the social network of adults and community members who care about the youth, the Mentor can help youth develop and reach positive academic, career, and personal goals.

For the safety of all, volunteers are asked to authorize and/or complete a few important checks and a brief training program prior to starting in your new role with us. Each volunteer is asked to provide three (3) references, authorize a background check (at the Y’s expense) and complete online training class on the importance of child abuse prevention. This onboarding process has been streamlined for your ease. As soon as this process is complete, we will reach out to welcome you as a Y volunteer and to determine a convenient date for the start of your valued volunteering at the YMCA. Note: Mentors require a much more rigorous application process than regular volunteers. You will be contacted for an interview and to fill out additional paperwork.
